Argyll Data Development has launched a sovereign UK AI inference cloud in partnership with SambaNova, giving organisations the ability to run advanced AI workloads entirely within UK-controlled infrastructure.
Built around SambaNova’s high-efficiency RDU architecture, the platform delivers high-performance AI inference without the extreme power and cooling demands associated with traditional GPU systems.
The service hosts leading open-source AI models, including Minimax at speeds of up to 400 tokens per second, while ensuring data, models, and operations remain fully resident within the UK.
Peter Griffiths, Chairman of Argyll Data Development, said:
“Sovereignty in AI is not a branding exercise. It is about control, accountability, and ensuring critical intelligence infrastructure remains aligned with the interests of the society it serves.”
The launch marks a significant step in developing sovereign AI capability and infrastructure within the United Kingdom.
